เมื่อวันที่ ๑๒ พฤศจิกายน ๒๕๖๘ นางสาวรุจิกร แสงจันทร์ อธิบดีกรมเศรษฐกิจระหว่างประเทศ ร่วมกล่าวเปิดการสัมมนาในหัวข้อ “Sharing Pathways: Korea’s OECD Membership and Thailand’s Application” ณ โรงแรมคาร์ลตัน กรุงเทพ สุขุมวิท จัดโดยสถานเอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐเกาหลีประจำประเทศไทย โดยมีผู้แทนจากหน่วยงานภาครัฐที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการเข้าเป็นสมาชิก OECD ของไทย รวมทั้ง ภาคเอกชน ภาควิชาการ และสื่อมวลชน เข้าร่วมประมาณ ๕๐ คน

           การสัมมนาครั้งนี้จัดขึ้นเพื่อแบ่งปันประสบการณ์เกี่ยวกับกระบวนการเข้าเป็นสมาชิก OECD ของเกาหลีใต้ เมื่อปี ๒๕๓๖ ซึ่งช่วยให้เกาหลีใต้ก้าวสู่การเป็นประเทศพัฒนาแล้ว รวมถึงแนวปฏิบัติที่ดี แนวคิด การปฏิรูปเชิงโครงสร้าง และการเติบโตที่ขับเคลื่อนด้วยนวัตกรรม พร้อมสำรวจโอกาสความร่วมมือทวิภาคี ในอุตสาหกรรมเกิดใหม่ เช่น รถยนต์พลังงานไฟฟ้า และดิจิทัลคอนเทนต์

           ในการนี้ อธิบดีกรมเศรษฐกิจฯ ได้แสดงความยินดีต่อความสำเร็จในการเป็นเจ้าภาพจัดการประชุมเอเปค ปี ๒๕๖๘ ของสาธารณรัฐเกาหลี และขอบคุณเกาหลีใต้สำหรับการสนับสนุนไทยในการเข้าเป็นสมาชิก OECD อย่างต่อเนื่อง พร้อมเน้นย้ำความสำคัญของความร่วมมือในประเด็นที่สนใจร่วมกัน เช่น การเปลี่ยนผ่านสู่ดิจิทัลและ AI  การเปลี่ยนแปลงโครงสร้างประชากร และนโยบายอุตสาหกรรมและการลงทุนที่ขับเคลื่อนด้วยนวัตกรรม

           อนึ่ง การสัมมนาสะท้อนถึงความมุ่งมั่นของเกาหลีใต้ที่จะสนับสนุนไทยในการพัฒนาขีดความสามารถเพื่อมุ่งสู่การเข้าเป็นสมาชิก OECD รวมถึงขับเคลื่อนความร่วมมือทวิภาคีระหว่างสองประเทศ นอกจากนี้ ในปี ๒๕๖๙ เกาหลีใต้จะเฉลิมฉลองในโอกาสครบรอบ ๓๐ ปีของการเข้าเป็นสมาชิก OECD อีกด้วย

On 12 November 2025, Ms. Rujikorn Saengchantr, Director-General of the Department of International Economic Affairs, delivered opening remarks at a seminar titled “Sharing Pathways: Korea’s OECD Membership and Thailand’s Application” at the Carlton Hotel Bangkok Sukhumvit. The seminar, organised by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, brought together about 50 participants from relevant Thai government agencies involved in Thailand’s OECD accession process, as well as representatives from the private sector, academia, and the media.

The seminar aimed to share Korea’s experience in joining the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in 1993, which paved the way for Korea’s transition to a developed economy. It also discussed best practices in structural reform, innovation-driven growth, and opportunities for bilateral cooperation in emerging sectors, such as electric vehicles and digital content.

On this occasion, the Director-General congratulated the Republic of Korea on the successful hosting of APEC 2025, and expressed appreciation for Korea’s continued support for Thailand’s OECD accession. She also emphasised the importance of cooperation in shared priority issues, including digital and AI transition, demographic change, and innovation-led industrial and investment policies.

The seminar reflected Korea’s commitment to supporting Thailand’s preparedness for OECD membership and further strengthening bilateral cooperation. Notably, the Republic of Korea will celebrate the 30^th anniversary of its OECD membership in 2026.
