วันที่ 24 มีนาคม 2569 นางสาวรุจิกร แสงจันทร์ อธิบดีกรมเศรษฐกิจระหว่างประเทศ ให้การต้อนรับ นายอะเลคซันเดร์ มีโซฟชิน เอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐสโลวักประจำประเทศไทย ณ กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ

ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้หารือถึงแนวทางการเพิ่มพูนความร่วมมือที่เป็นรูปธรรมระหว่างไทยกับสาธารณรัฐสโลวัก รวมถึงการขับเคลื่อนการทูตเศรษฐกิจและการทูตนวัตกรรม การลงทุนระหว่างกัน การวิจัยและพัฒนาร่วมกัน การเชื่อมโยงอุตสาหกรรมและผู้ประกอบการ และความตกลงเรื่องการยกเว้นการเก็บภาษีซ้อน

ฝ่ายสโลวักสนับสนุนการสมัครเป็นสมาชิกองค์การเพื่อความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจและการพัฒนา (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development: OECD) ของไทย โดยทั้งสองฝ่ายเห็นว่าจะสามารถร่วมมือเพื่อพัฒนาศักยภาพของหน่วยงานไทย โดยเฉพาะในด้านการศึกษาและการพัฒนาทักษะ  

นอกจากนี้ ทั้งสองฝ่ายยังได้แลกเปลี่ยนทัศนะเกี่ยวกับสถานการณ์ในตะวันออกกลาง ผลกระทบทางเศรษฐกิจ และแนวทางในการรับมือที่เกี่ยวข้อง

On 24 March 2026, Ms. Rujikorn Saengchantr, Director-General of the Department of International Economic Affairs, welcomed H.E. Mr. Alexander Micovčin, Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Thailand, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Both sides discussed ways to enhance practical cooperation between Thailand and the Slovak Republic, including advancing economic diplomacy and innovation diplomacy cooperation, promoting two-way investment, fostering joint research and development, strengthening linkages between industries and entrepreneurs, as well as a double taxation agreement. 

The Slovak Ambassador further expressed support for Thailand’s application for membership in the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Both sides recognised the potential for capacity building programmes for Thai agencies, particularly in the areas of education and skills development.

In addition, the two sides exchanged views on the situation in the Middle East its impacts.
