เมื่อวันที่ 7 กรกฎาคม 2569 นายอรรถยุทธ์ ศรีสมุทร ที่ปรึกษารัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ และนางสาวรุจิกร แสงจันทร์ อธิบดีกรมเศรษฐกิจระหว่างประเทศ ในฐานะเจ้าหน้าที่อาวุโสเอเปคไทย ได้ติดตามoนายกรัฐมนตรีเข้าร่วมพิธีเปิดการประชุมสภาที่ปรึกษาทางธุรกิจเอเปค ครั้งที่ 3 ประจำปี 2569 (APEC Business Advisory Council: ABAC3/2026) ณ โรงแรมอวานี พลัส ริเวอร์ไซด์ กรุงเทพฯ

ในโอกาสดังกล่าว นายกรัฐมนตรีระบุว่า ABAC เป็นกลไกสำคัญที่ทำหน้าที่สะท้อนมุมมองและข้อเสนอแนะจากภาคธุรกิจสู่กระบวนการกำหนดนโยบายภาครัฐ พร้อมเน้นย้ำถึงบทบาทของภาคเอกชนในการขับเคลื่อนการเติบโตทางเศรษฐกิจของภูมิภาค โดยรัฐบาลไทยให้ความสำคัญกับการรับฟังข้อเสนอแนะจากภาคธุรกิจอย่างต่อเนื่อง และพร้อมผลักดันข้อเสนอของ ABAC ไปสู่การปฏิบัติอย่างเป็นรูปธรรม ทั้งนี้ ไทยกำลังเร่งผลักดันโครงการ Thailand FastPass เพื่อลดขั้นตอนที่ซ้ำซ้อน อำนวยความสะดวกแก่นักลงทุน และยกระดับกระบวนการอนุมัติโครงการลงทุนให้มีความรวดเร็ว โปร่งใส และสามารถคาดการณ์ได้มากยิ่งขึ้น ควบคู่กับการสนับสนุนการจัดทำความตกลงการค้าเสรี ที่มีคุณภาพ เพื่อเสริมสร้างความเชื่อมั่นของภาคธุรกิจ ส่งเสริมการค้าและการลงทุน ตลอดจนสร้างสภาพแวดล้อมที่เอื้อต่อการเติบโตอย่างยั่งยืนของภูมิภาคเอเชีย-แปซิฟิก

อนึ่ง การประชุม ABAC3/2026 จัดขึ้นระหว่างวันที่ 6–9 กรกฎาคม 2569 ณ กรุงเทพฯ โดยมีผู้แทนภาคธุรกิจจากทั้ง 21 เขตเศรษฐกิจเอเปคเข้าร่วมกว่า 200 คน เพื่อร่วมกันจัดทำข้อเสนอแนะเสนอต่อผู้นำเขตเศรษฐกิจเอเปค
ในการประชุมผู้นำเขตเศรษฐกิจเอเปค ครั้งที่ 33 ในช่วงเดือนพฤศจิกายนนี้ ณ เมืองเซินเจิ้น สาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีน

On 7 July 2026, H.E. Mr. Arthayudh Srisamoot, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Ms. Rujikorn Saengchantr, Director-General of the Department of International Economic Affairs and Thailand's APEC Senior Official, accompanied
the Prime Minister of Thailand to the Opening Ceremony of the Third APEC Business Advisory Council Meeting 2026 (ABAC3/2026), held at the Avani+ Riverside Bangkok Hotel.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister underscored ABAC’s vital role in conveying the perspectives and recommendations of the business sector into public policymaking, highlighting the essential contributions of the private sector in driving economic growth across the region. He reaffirmed the Royal Thai Government's commitment to maintaining close dialogue with the business community and translating ABAC's recommendations into concrete action. In this regard, the Government is advancing the Thailand FastPass initiative to streamline administrative procedures and facilitate investment, making approval processes faster, more transparent, and more predictable. Likewise, Thailand will continue to promote high-quality free trade agreements to bolster business confidence, expand trade and investment opportunities, and create an enabling environment for sustainable growth throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

The ABAC 3/2026 took place in Bangkok from 6 - 9 July 2026, bringing together over 200 business representatives from all 21 APEC member economies to prepare recommendations for submission to APEC Leaders at the 33rd APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting, to be held in November 2026 in Shenzhen, People’s Republic of China.
