เมื่อวันที่ 16 – 19 พฤษภาคม 2569 นางสาวรุจิกร แสงจันทร์ อธิบดีกรมเศรษฐกิจระหว่างประเทศในฐานะเจ้าหน้าที่อาวุโสเอเปคไทย เข้าร่วมการประชุมเจ้าหน้าที่อาวุโสเอเปค ครั้งที่ 2 ประจำปี 2569และการประชุมที่เกี่ยวข้อง (APEC SOM2/2026) ณ นครเซี่ยงไฮ้ สาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีน

เขตเศรษฐกิจเอเปคหารือเกี่ยวกับความร่วมมือภายใต้ประเด็นสำคัญของการประชุมเอเปค ประจำปี 2569 โดยส่วนใหญ่ย้ำความสำคัญของระบบการค้าพหุภาคีที่มีองค์การการค้าโลกเป็นแกนกลาง การส่งเสริมความเชื่อมโยงและความยืดหยุ่นของห่วงโซ่อุปทาน การขับเคลื่อนเขตการค้าเสรีเอเชีย-แปซิฟิก (FTAPP) การค้าดิจิทัลและการใช้ประโยชน์จาก AI ควบคู่ไปกับการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนและครอบคลุมทุกภาคส่วน ตลอดจนแลกเปลี่ยนความเห็นเกี่ยวกับข้อริเริ่มใหม่ ๆ เพื่อรับมือกับการเปลี่ยนแปลงทางประชากรและการมีส่วนร่วมของเยาวชน รวมถึงการทบทวนการดำเนินการตามแผนปฏิบัติการ Aotearoa (Aotearoa Plan of Action - APA) เพื่อนำไปสู่การบรรลุวิสัยทัศน์ปุตราจายา ค.ศ. 2040 นอกจากนี้ หลายเขตเศรษฐกิจยังได้ย้ำถึงบทบาทของเอเปคในการรับมือกับผลกระทบจากสถานการณ์ในภูมิภาคตะวันออกกลางที่จะส่งผลต่อการเติบโตทางเศรษฐกิจ ความมั่นคงทางพลังงาน และความมั่นคงทางอาหารโลก

ไทยให้ความสำคัญกับการส่งเสริมการค้าพหุภาคีและการสร้างความเข้มแข็งของห่วงโซ่อุปทาน รวมถึงความมั่นคงทางไซเบอร์ โดยไทยมีแผนจะจัดกิจกรรมภายใต้หัวข้อการต่อต้านอาชญากรรมออนไลน์ (Online Scams) ในห้วง 2026 APEC Digital Week ณ นครเฉิงตู เดือนกรกฎาคมนี้ นอกจากนี้ ไทยยังได้นำเสนอ
ความคืบหน้าการดำเนินโครงการ APEC BCG Award ประจำปี 2569 ซึ่งได้รับการสนับสนุนที่ดีจาก
เขตเศรษฐกิจเอเปค และแสดงความพร้อมที่จะเป็นเจ้าภาพจัดการประชุมสภาที่ปรึกษาทางธุรกิจเอเปค ครั้งที่ 3 (ABAC3/3026) ระหว่างวันที่ 6 - 9 กรกฎาคม 2569 ณ กรุงเทพฯ

อนึ่ง ในห้วงการประชุม APEC SOM2/2026 จีนได้จัดการประชุมรัฐมนตรีเอเปคด้านสตรีและเศรษฐกิจ และการประชุมรัฐมนตรีด้านการค้าเอเปค โดยตลอดทั้งปี 2569 จีนจะจัดการประชุมรัฐมนตรีรายสาขาอื่น ๆ เช่น ดิจิทัลและ AI ความมั่นคงอาหาร พลังงาน SME ท่องเที่ยว และการคลัง เป็นต้น

On 16–19 May 2026, Ms. Rujikorn Saengchantr, Director-General of
the Department of International Economic Affairs and Thailand's APEC Senior Official, attended the Second APEC Senior Officials' Meeting (APEC SOM2/2026) and related meetings in Shanghai, People's Republic of China.

Member economies discussed ways to advance APEC cooperation under the APEC 2026 priorities, underscoring the importance of the rules-based multilateral trading system with the WTO at its core, strengthening connectivity and supply chain resilience, advancing the Free Trade Area of the Asia-Pacific (FTAAP), promoting digital trade and leveraging the benefits of AI, and fostering sustainable and inclusive growth. Member economies also exchanged views on demographic change and youth initiatives, as well as the review of
the implementation of the Aotearoa Plan of Action (APA) as a stepping stone towards achieving the Putrajaya Vision 2040.

On this occasion, Thailand reaffirmed its key priorities, including promoting the multilateral trading system, strengthening supply chain resilience, and enhancing cybersecurity. In this regard, Thailand will organize a seminar on combatting online scams on the margins of the APEC Digital Week 2026 in Chengdu, China, in July. Thailand also updated member economies on
the progress of the APEC BCG Award, which continues to receive positive support from APEC economies, and expressed its readiness to host the 3rd APEC Business Advisory Council Meeting (ABAC 3/2026) from 6–9 July 2026 in Bangkok.
On the margins of APEC SOM2/2026, China also hosted other high-level meetings, including the APEC Women and the Economy Forum (WEF) and the APEC Ministers Responsible for Trade Meeting (MRT). Under APEC China 2026, additional sectoral ministerial meetings will be held throughout the year, covering areas such as digital and AI, food security, energy, SMEs, tourism, and finance, among others.
