The mission aimed to showcase the potential of the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) and the EECiti project in order to foster cooperation with German businesses, investors, and entities focusing particularly in electric vehicles (EVs) and smart cities.

Through roundtable discussions and meetings with prospective investors, the delegation presented investment opportunities in Thailand and exchanged knowledge and experience in urban development and future industries. Direct engagement with German investors and innovation organisations enabled both sides to explore ways to connect the EEC’s potential with German technology and expertise, laying the groundwork for future cooperation and investment.

The mission is a part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ proactive economic diplomacy. The Department of International Economic Affairs worked closely with the EECO, the Royal Thai Embassy in Berlin, and the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Munich, drawing on Thailand’s diplomatic network to connect German businesses with investment opportunities in Thailand. These efforts aim to build investor confidence and attract investment that supports industrial upgrade and progress, strengthens Thailand’s competitiveness, and creates opportunities for sustainable growth in the industries of the future.
