เมื่อวันที่ 14 กรกฎาคม 2569 นางสาวรุจิกร แสงจันทร์ อธิบดีกรมเศรษฐกิจระหว่างประเทศ พบหารือกับนาย Zhao Yao Lam หัวหน้าฝ่ายกิจการสาธารณะสำหรับอาเซียนและญี่ปุ่นของบริษัท Swift ณ กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ

ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้แลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลและความเห็นในเรื่องการพัฒนาระบบการเงินระหว่างประเทศ ความร่วมมือด้านการชำระเงินข้ามพรมแดน ความเชื่อมโยงทางการเงิน และการต่อต้านอาชญากรรมทางการเงินออนไลน์ รวมถึงนโยบายและกิจกรรมที่สำคัญของไทย อาทิ การเป็นเจ้าภาพการประชุม IMF-World Bank Annual Meetings 2026 ที่จะมีขึ้นในเดือนตุลาคม 2569 ที่กรุงเทพฯ และการสมัครเป็นสมาชิกองค์การเพื่อความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจและการพัฒนา (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development: OECD) ของไทย

อนึ่ง Swift เป็นผู้ให้บริการโครงสร้างพื้นฐานและบริการรับส่งข้อความทางการเงินระหว่างประเทศ โดยปัจจุบัน Swift ให้บริการสถาบันการเงินและบริษัทมากกว่า 11,500 แห่งในกว่า 200 ประเทศและเขตดินแดน และ
มีความร่วมมือกับธนาคารแห่งประเทศไทยและสถาบันการเงินของไทยมาอย่างต่อเนื่องตั้งแต่ปี 2528

On 14 July 2026, Ms. Rujikorn Saengchantr, Director-General of the Department of International Economic Affairs, met with Mr. Zhao Yao Lam, Head of Public Affairs for ASEAN and Japan at Swift, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Both sides exchanged views on developments in the international financial system, cooperation on cross-border payments, financial connectivity, and efforts to combat online scams and financial crime. They also discussed Swift’s potential support for Thailand’s key priorities, including its hosting of the 2026 IMF-World Bank Annual Meetings in Bangkok in October 2026 and Thailand’s accession to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

Swift is a provider of global financial infrastructure and secure financial messaging services. It currently serves more than 11,500 financial institutions and corporations in over 200 countries and territories. Swift has maintained close cooperation with the Bank of Thailand and Thai financial institutions since 1985.
